Realization of Jiří David’s Sculpture

Solution
The sculpture consists of a steel structure and obsolete keys donated by citizens through a promotional campaign. For two months, we welded the keys one by one onto the structure and onto each other. The work was specific in many respects. For example, the center of gravity of the colossus is located outside the vertical axis and shifted continuously as production progressed.
Before moving, we divided the sculpture into three parts. For transport, we utilized two workers, a truck, a crane, and a platform. The installation was preceded by the construction of a concrete plinth. The sculpture was on tour for a year and visited several major cities in the Czech Republic.
Inspiration
The realization of the seven-meter, seven-ton sculpture is an exceptional demonstration of our flexibility.
