Company History

1868

Julius Kremer began the production of metal goods, particularly renowned bird cages.

1948

The communists nationalized the enterprise. The KOVO-DŘEVO repair and industrial enterprise was established. It held a monopoly on bird cages in Czechoslovakia.

1996

The enterprise was privatized by GRIOS s.r.o. Bird cages were replaced by a significantly broader range of custom wire products.

2001

We acquired the first of our current nine CNC wire bending machines.

2004

We expanded our production program to include certified parts for the automotive industry.

2009

We installed one of the first photovoltaic power plants in the region with a capacity of 60 kWp.

2015

We acquired an ADIGE Lasertube LT5 tube laser. It significantly expanded our production possibilities.

2022

We acquired an LVD Dyna Press 40/15 press brake and launched laser sheet metal bending.

2025

We increased the PV plant capacity to 380 kWp. Green electricity now covers a third of our consumption. We acquired an LW1500H laser welder.
